PlayingBox ("we", "our", "us") provides a cross-platform video player that connects to a user's Dropbox account.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains what data we access, process, and store when you use PlayingBox.

2. Dropbox Data Access

When you connect Dropbox via OAuth 2.0, PlayingBox may access:

• File and folder metadata required to list playable media, including file name, path, size, and modified time.
• Temporary streaming links or media access URLs needed to play your selected videos.
• App-created data files used for settings and playback state sync.

PlayingBox does not request data beyond the scopes required for core functionality.

3. Authentication and Token Security

PlayingBox uses OAuth 2.0 with authorization code flow to connect Dropbox.

• Access tokens and refresh tokens are stored using platform secure storage, such as Apple Keychain.
• Tokens are used only to call Dropbox APIs on your behalf.
• We do not ask for your Dropbox password.

If you disconnect Dropbox, local tokens are removed from secure storage.

4. Subscription Data

If you purchase Premium, purchase and entitlement data is processed through Apple App Store / StoreKit. We may process limited subscription status data such as:

• Active plan type, monthly or yearly
• Entitlement status, including active, expired, or restored
• Renewal or expiration timing used for feature gating

Payment card details are not collected or stored by PlayingBox.

5. Local App Data

PlayingBox may store the following data locally or in your linked Dropbox app data:

• Playback progress and history
• User preferences and sorting/view settings
• Playlist and favorite markers

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We only share data with service providers required to operate the app, such as:

• Dropbox, for content access APIs
• Apple, for in-app purchase and subscription processing

7. Data Retention

Data is retained while needed to provide app functionality. You can remove local data by uninstalling the app and disconnecting Dropbox.

8. Your Choices

You can:

• Disconnect Dropbox at any time from app settings.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions from Apple account subscription settings.
• Request support via support@appcognito.com.

9. Children's Privacy

PlayingBox is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date.
